HVC - Profile |
HVC ARCHITECTS is a professional services firm that since its founding in 1987 has been responsible for the design and construction administration of well over 1,500 projects with a total construction value in excess of $500 million. Our diverse private and public clients include many businesses, medical facilities, and churches, as well as over 50 counties, cities and state government entities in the Commonwealth of Virginia and Maryland.
The principals of HVC ARCHITECTS have over 75 years of combined experience in Planning, Consulting, Architecture, Interior Design and Project Management Services. For example these services include Feasibility Studies, Space Needs Analyses, Environmental Impacts, Programming, Site Feasibility Evaluations, Master Planning, Building Design, Bid Document Preparation and Analysis, and Construction Administration Services. Master Plans and full Architectural Design Services have been provided for over six million square feet of facilities.
An example of the firm’s commitment to design excellence and energy conservation/sustainable design principles is HVC ARCHITECTS’ 102,000 square foot Forestry Headquarters Building in Charlottesville, completed in 1995, that received an EPA Energy Star Award in 2002, well before the current “green building” design emphasis. The Headquarters was the first Commonwealth of Virginia office building to receive this designation, which places it on a list of U.S.A. buildings that are among the nation’s top 25 percent in terms of energy conservation performance.
The diverse experience of our principals, staff architects and technical staff contributes to the success of all of HVC ARCHITECTS’ projects. The firm is managed in such a way that strong principal involvement is a standard element of each of our projects. Our extensive experience can make your project a success.
We welcome the opportunity to serve you and to start building a long-lasting relationship.
